Suitability: At this level students undertake studies in Supervisory skills which are applicable to working in any area of hospitality. After relevant industry experience, students are equipped for a variety of positions including Department Supervisor (Front Office, Restaurant or Bar), Team Leader or Functions Coordinator.
Units:
The Certificate IV incorporates all modules included in the 6 month Certificate III course plus all Advanced and Supervisory skills as follows:
- Deal with conflict situations
- Receive & store stock
- Control & order stock
- Interpret financial information
- Implement workplace health, safety & security procedures
- Lead & manage people
- Monitor work operations
- Organise in-house events or functions
- Write Business documents
- Use business technology
- Prepare rooms for guests
Entry Requirement: Certificate III in Hospitality
Duration: 6 months (Approximately 15 – 20 hours per week)
